The Guild strives for a Professional and Respectful attitude towards mole control in the United Kingdom

Members of the Guild agree to the highest possible standards of welfare for any mole, and will provide these remarkable creatures the greatest respect ensuring that both clients and moles receive the best possible levels of professionalism.

All members agree to provide services under the Guild of British Molecatchers working practice- to view the code click here.

Members of the Guild operate a traditional service of mole control by removing the mole by the use of mechanical devices referred to as traps.Any device used against a mole will under the working practice be inspected a minimum of once every day to address any possible unnecessary suffering.

Members will never USE POISONS ( now withdrawn from legal use ) or gas application (now under strict restriction to its use)

By maintaining these standards, they provide a strong benchmark for traditional mole control in Britain.

WHAT IS THE GUILD BRITISH MOLECATCHERS- YOU MIGHT WELL ASK

The Guild is an initiative run by molecatchers for the benefit of molecatchers and their customers

It exists to provide reassurance for those wishing to engage in or purchase mole control services

By purchasing services from a molecatcher displaying the Guild logo, customers may do so in confidence.

The Guild logo is a trust mark ,its presence signifies excellence in terms of customer service and professionalism that will alleviate doubt in the minds of both existing and potential customers

IT IS NOT EXCLUSIVE CLUB - any person can become a Guild member. All that is required is to agree to provide services inline with the the requirements from the Guild of British Molecatchers proven working code of practice. This bestows a high level of welfare for the mole whilst under the direct control from the use of mechanical devices and an efficient assistance to customers.

The unscrupulous will always find a way to deceive people, however by following a few simple rules, molecatchers and customers could find it easier to make judgments about who they trust ( yes it works both ways ).

DISHONSTEY COMES IN MANY FORMS

The Guild asks for Honesty

Many providers will claim to offer the best service and value for money, but by employing members displaying the Guild  Logo potential clients can immediately identify with someone for their honesty and dedication to providing the best possible assistance.
Our members work under the Guilds code of practice so all customers can be sure and openly evaluate the assistance they receive

The Guild is not an arbitrator - if you have concerns about a Guild member or dispute, speak to the member concerned- they are professionals and should be able to resolve any issues satisfactorily.
We will not enter into any disputes ourselves; we will however openly remove members from the membership if they fall short of the minimum requirements is agreed in their membership.
The Guild of British Molecatchers accept that there will be those that will provide bad working practices, and will despite claims displayed on the World Wide Web or media of prowess and promises for a duty of care for a target mole, but then fail to operate a service that is parallel to any such claims.
The Guild requires its members to operate with a transparency to inform and believes there are no reasons not to provide a level of welfare and service to benefit the customer and the mole.

The Guild has and will continue to work to promote the highest level of welfare for moles whilst under the control from man.
It provides training and advice to anyone asking to be educated and enlightened minimising the excuses not to provide an honest service.
